How to Display Your Newborn Photos in Your Home

Your sweet baby will only stay little for a short time! Trust me, it goes by way too fast. Holding your baby’s newborn album or looking at their sweet little newborn portraits on the walls will bring you so much joy as you witness your child growing up.

This is why printing and displaying your newborn portraits is so important. Digital files get lost, photos sit on your phone, and cloud passwords disappear. By printing these precious portraits, you’ll have a tangible piece of family artwork that you can enjoy for many years to come.

I know the thought of figuring out what to do with your images is a huge task on your already large to-do list. Today, I want to offer a few ideas on how you can display your newborn photos to help you get started. (The best part? I take care of this entire process with my full-service newborn photography).

5 Steps to Display Your Newborn Photos

1. Dream About The Final Product(s)

Spend a few minutes simply dreaming about these portraits. How do you envision enjoying these portraits in your home and with your family? Do you want an album that you can cozy up on the couch with your children and look through each page? Are you dreaming about a portrait gallery wall you can build upon over the years? Just let yourself dream of what you truly desire!

2. Look Around Your Home for Style

If you’re unsure about look and style, start by looking around your home. What colors do you have on the walls? How would you describe your decor? This can help us custom create the perfect portrait artwork that will complement and elevate your home!

3. Consider Album and/or Printed Portraits

Okay, now that you have dreamt about the final products and considered style, it’s time to consider if you want an album, printed portraits, or both!

Printed Portraits - Custom prints displayed on the walls of your home will have you smiling every time you walk by. It’ll be a beautiful reminder of your baby’s growth.

Album - Custom albums allow you to engage the senses as you hold your images in your hands. You’ll turn the page and soak up all the memories from that season of your family.

4. Design

As you look through your images, look for one that brings you so much joy that you can’t help but smile! These are the ones that should be on display in your home. I’m so grateful to take this part of the process off my clients’ plates, as I know how intimidating this can be. I even have software that allows us to see what the portraits would look like on your walls before you decide to commit.

5. Install

The project isn’t over until your portraits are displayed. Once these are on the walls of your home, they will bring you endless joy. As your child grows up, you’ll be able to look back on their newborn portraits and smile.
