7 Benefits of a Studio Newborn Photo Shoot
If you’re debating between a studio newborn session or an in-home newborn session, you’re in the right place! I completely understand the desire to have a lifestyle session. I mean, you get to stay home. So nice, right? Well, maybe not! I have seven benefits of a newborn studio session. Do any of these surprise you?
The Biggest Benefits of a Studio Newborn Session
These are the top seven benefits of a studio session. I think you might like number seven the best.
1. Not Weather-Dependent - No matter the weather, it’s always nice in the studio! While many families love outdoor sessions, we really only have a few months in the summer and early fall when we can shoot outdoors. Even then, we might get rain or other icky weather that will cause us to have to reschedule.
2. Cozy, Warm Environment - With a newborn session, having a safe, comfortable environment for your baby is of the utmost importance. In the studio, I’m able to turn up the temperature during newborn sessions to keep your baby nice and warm.
3. Best Lighting - Scheduling newborn sessions can get tricky with nap and feeding schedules. Luckily, with the studio, we can schedule the session when it works best for your family. I have my studio lighting, so we don’t have to worry about the sunlight. My newborn photo shoots are scheduled with plenty of time if we need to take a diaper change or feeding break.
4. Perfectly Curated Backdrops - Another great benefit is that the studio offers perfectly curated backdrops to add variety to your session. We don’t have to worry about staging or moving things around (well, we might a little bit but not too much!). In short, your studio session will still look homey and inviting.
5. Amenities - We have restrooms nearby for any bathroom breaks or wardrobe changes. It’s also easy to take a break if it’s needed. We’re in no rush, and I want your family to feel comfortable throughout the session.
6. Wardrobe & Accessories in Reach - With a studio session, your entire family’s wardrobe is right here waiting for you. During your newborn session, I like to keep accessories or props to a minimum, but with the studio, anything we need is within reach.
7. You Don’t Have to Clean - Let me do the cleaning for you! A studio session means you get to just show up with your family. The studio will be clean and ready for you. That might just be the best benefit of all.
